Trying to help a friend. He's got a job tomorrow which requires videoconferencing, but he's running into problems. If he doesn't get this resolved near immediately he loses out on this job. He's using a Canon XL1S (date/time stamp for depositions) connected via firewire to a 2010 MBP. The camera is recognized in iChat, Facetime, Skype, but the web-based service he has to log into will only recognize his built-in camera. The service uses Adobe flash player to detected available cameras. The company's IT people say they've never had this problem with other contractors and the problem is clearly with his equipment. My thought is that since other programs recognize the presence of the camera, that there's an issue with flash player, but I don't know where to go from there. Thanks for any ideas.
