web proxy (http) server settings ignored , MacBook / IMAC Sonoma

Web Proxy settings are been ignored on both my MacBook Pro m2 , and iMac , both on Sonoma .

When I use the same proxy settings on my phone or iPad they work no problem .

Does anyone else have this issue ?

Context: running a server with glutun VPN in docker , and would like to use http proxy to route traffic through VPN when needed.
