iOS Web Radio - Data Stream Listener App - Input Needed

Hello All.

I've been asked to put together an iPhone app for a non-profit internet radio station.

For now, it will be just something that plays the music they are streaming, and displays current song playing.

Are there any data streaming api's out there that could help with this? Something that will take care of the nitty gritty stuff. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

You know that is my question has well I go to a school that has a non-for profit radio station and we would love to have an iPhone App as well
