What is the general compatibility of OSX with webcams? I have an old Logitech Quickcam pro and a creative webcam and am wondering if these will work with the Mac Mini I plan to purchase soon. Does OSX have a generic driver model that work with most webcams? Just curious. Thanks.

Any UVC webcam will work (if it has a Vista logo on the box, it's UVC).

I use a QuickCam Pro 9000, works great, just no auto focus.

Check http://webcam-osx.sourceforge.net/... I can't remember the name of other site atm, you can find it thru google.

Got my old 3Com camera to work before I got a new creative IMPlus.

I just had to deal with this...

I tried MS VX-6000(didn't work), and Xbox Live(cam only, no mic). Finally got the Macally Ice2. Got mine at Amazon, but they are on Ebay. Quality is good, not great at low light. Mine has speckles in it(hot pixels); possibly why it was sold as 'used.' But it works.
