Hi, Im using Windows Live messenger (mac version) on my mac. I want to webcam with my friend who is using Windows Live messenger on windows. I cant seem to be able to use either built in mac webcam or my external cam.

How can I make it work, do i have to use another programme or online service?

Thanks

Here is a list of Mac <-> PC video chat apps I've tried, in order of goodness:

Skype
Google Video
Yahoo Messenger
Adium/AIM with MeBeam

All of those are free, so if you can't get Windows Messenger to work give one a try.

Google video, can you please give me a link for that as it only comes up with the video sharing site.

Hum I guess it's not actually called Google Video, oops. If both of you sign up for Gmail and add each other, you'll show up in each other's buddy lists. From there you can use Gchat and the webcam icons will pop up, allowing you to video chat.
