Webcam + Mic Yay or Nay

Ok so sister moved to UK and parents want to be able to webcam with her.

If I get a webcam that has a built in microphone, it will send what ever sound is output from speakers (ie my sister talking) back through the mic to her, right?

So is it better to get a webcam and a headset or just use headphones?

Also, do all webcams now work with 10.4.9?

What you could do is just wear a pair of headphones while in a chat, so it won't give that echo effect. 🙂 Unless you want to go out and buy a headset, in which case that would work as well.
