So I was playing with the ooVoo video chat software tonight. I connected to a buddy, and ooVoo shows his camera, but not mine because I didn't set it to automatically turn on the camera. But this is where things get weird.

He sends me a message saying he can see me, but ooVoo shows the camera is turned off, AND my green LED was NOT turned on. I thought this was not possible?

I tried repeating this, and have not been able to replicate this scenario, but I know he described my shirt, while the LED was still off.

Can someone confirm how this camera is wired in a 2011 MBP? I have always been very paranoid about cameras on laptops, and this does not help :/

Lucky guess maybe?

I've never seen this happen before, especially when both the hardware and the software confirm that the camera was OFF, but it still turns on. Maybe at first it turned on, but then you quickly shut it off or something.
