Since Skype no longer works for video.... I have a webcam (which i bought for that sole purpose) just sitting around collecting dust. It would be useful to take pictures. Is there a program for OS X that I can use to take photos? (Simular to "Cheese Webcam Booth" on Linux?

I assume you are on Tiger as Leopard already has photo booth.
There's a version of Photo Booth for Tiger that shipped with Macs that have built-in iSight cameras. Maybe you can hunt down a copy.

In fact, i have the original OS X install disks for the 2006 15" Core2Duo MacBook Pro that I used to have. Maybe I can search that.

Maybe those apps would work

I'm not sure, but I think, if two ppc mac users are talking on skype using 2.8, that the video chat will work. From what I read, it just doesnt work with users on newer versions of skype.
