I use the webkit browser and was wondering if it works with El Capitain?
Thanks in advance.
WebKit IS NOT a browser, it is the rendering framework that makes Safari work.
Several other browsers use the WebKit renderer as well.
The builds of WebKit on webkit.org are UNTESTED NIGHTLY BUILDS of the WebKit framework, that depend on Safari in order to function.
If you are not a web developer, you should not be running the WebKit nightlies, and instead just be using Safari itself.
That said, provided you get an up to date nightly build of WebKit, it will function on El Capitan.
Thanks for your reply. I've been using webkit nightly for quite awhile,
because it is much faster than safari on my 2014 mbp.
That is understandable, as they are nightly builds they contain fixes and optimisations that may not have made it into the release version yet.
Also, sorry if my initial response seemed a little harsh, I just wanted to be as clear as possible, in case someone who doesn't know what WebKit actually is saw this thread.
