Webm support in Safari

    This would be great, I'd also love to see them allowed in Photos along with other videos

    Pretty sure webm support still isn't implemented. It was mentioned as something that iOS 8 didn't get in a thread on the forum.

    I am running iOS 8, though, and would happily test it out if you can link me to a webm file (I had a hard time finding one)!

    it's probably not necessary since some sites support both AVC (apple and everyone else) and WebM (google) to cover both platforms. Besides, most android devices support AVC anyway so from a compatibility point of view it's much easier if everything just uses AVC and that is the approach most websites now appear to be taking.
