Can anyone recommend any website builder software now that iWeb is kaput?
I am looking to build up a website for my friend, but once it is built they will be looking to maintain it - so i really I am looking for an application that I can use on my mac, then transfer all the files etc over to a PC user so that they can maintain the website.

Does such software exist?

I use Rapidweaver 5, but I cannot attest to the file transfer question you are addressing.

If you are looking to transfer a project, rather than individual HTML coded pages, Dreamweaver, while expensive, should be able to do that.

You can get 30 day trials, create a test website, and see how well the transfer works.
