So i need to build a website. Nothing too fancy but it must rank as high as possible on the search engines. I don't know much html / xhtml etc...(Although I am learning).

I see that the sloppy code iweb creates and lack of sitemap is hard for spiders to catch, so that is not an option.

What about Rapidweaver or Sandvox? Dreamweaver and ps is too expensive and I want to set something up fast.

Could I create a decent site with minimal effort that ranks high on search engines with rapidweaver or sandvox and use Gimp to edit photos etc...?

Can a rapidweaver / sandvox -made site be as capable for SEO as one made with textedit / coda?

    Recommendations?

    Thanks in advance

Any app can be used and achieve SEO, though some are easier than others. There's a SEO app for iWeb users (Rage) that does a reasonable job at fixing this shortcoming. SEO techniques are independent of the editor though. It's the creator that needs to put in the effort. Knowing the principles of SEO is the key thing so you don't get caught up on meaningless questions like this.
