Website doesn't load on Firefox, Chrome, Safari

Recently, I have reinstalled Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.2 on my Macbook Pro, and naturally Firefox as well. Since then, I have difficulties opening www.independer.nl on any browser available.

Sometimes it does load the main page, but very slowly and any link I click starts loading forever but without any success.

Does anyone know what the problem could possibly be? I have already called the site and they told me they are not experiencing problems. In addition, it does load on Windows...

Works fine from here. Came up instantly. Do you have any ad blockers? Do you have JavaScript enabled? Have you cleared your cookies and cache?

Sounds like a networking issue since it's effecting all browsers. Google for dns cache clearing, which may help. Are you able to try the site from another machine?

well i think its probably because of the location of your server access to it from certain locations may be slower than others.

Another possible issue is that your web host may not be using good equipment or have a slow connection. Not really sure about this though.

I only use Adblock as addon for Firefox, but switching it off doesn't make any difference. Cleared the cookies as well as cache.

As I stated, from a Windows machine I can open the site without any problems.

I've just updated the firmware of my DIR-655 router and I've always given my Macbook a static IP. Miracally, sites are loading faster than before, independer.nl included.

Although I am it is fixed, could anyone explain what might have caused it?
