I have a friend that wants to do this with me (he was thinking of doing it himself, but I convinced him that we should team up). The good thing is that his brother does wedding photography and I thought that having the photographer "on your team" goes a long way.
I've decided that I am going to do three videos for free or at cost so that I can get some experience with the whole process and build a demo tape. This is where preparation comes in.
From reading things over, this is what I think I need:
A camera mounted light and possibly a studio light.
Some wireless microphones.
Extra batteries and a charger for the car.
A better camera for my main, while my
Panasonic PVGS70 can serve as a backup.
I have never looked into these on a more professional level. What would I expect to pay for a decent set of lights and microphones? I'm going to go to the local prosumer video shop to take a look at cameras.
