iPod touch Week 37 iPod?

If I recieve a week 37 iPod should I open it and check if it's screen is ok or should I send it back right away?

not all 37's are bad. these forums do nothing more than make people cast a very critical eye on things

I'm posting on a 37 right now. It has about 3 dead pixels and perfect black level. I will probably exchange it in a week or so for one a later week but this thing is really cool.

How do you tell what Week you have?

I bought mine from Best Buy, havent had a problem yet with it.

4th and 5th digits of the Serial # are the build week.

I actually was in this same boat yesterday and I decided to just go ahead and open it up and I got lucky and had no screen problems...there is a slight screen issue but its hardly noticable. Just go ahead and open it up. You might be lucky like me.

I picked up a Week 37 that literally came into Best Buy today. It has the Week 37 serial number but the Macy Gray box picture. Screen is totally fine and I posted pictures of it here. So not all Week 37s are bad.
