FYI - just replaced my device (within 14 days) and I now have a week 45 iPhone 6 Plus that shipped with 8.1.

Picked up a 6+ at an Apple Store earlier this week Nov. 11 and it did not have 8.1.

I see it has iOS 8.1 and it says it is up to date.
