I it my apple watch sport a week ago. What an awesome device! (Warning: I am an early adopter tech geek. But I am also really picky about my tech).

Pros:
- now I keep my phone in my pocket on silent but never miss a call or text due to my watch. Find that I use my phone much less.
- I never wore a watch before and would rely on my phone for time. Now the watch makes that easy but since it also gives me weather, the market, and temp with a quick glance it makes it super convenient.
- I love the complicated face where I can see my next meeting. I am spend most of my day in mtgs in a corp environment and knowing when and where with a simple glance is huge for me.
- battery is no issue. I am typically 30-40% rem when I go to bed.
- love being able to control Apple TV pandora etc with my watch.
- Siri works well for text replies when viable.
- love trivia crack on my wrist :)

Cons:
- apps are slow as molasses opening! Especially the not apple ones. This is a killer and ruins the experience. If the app won't open before the screen times out it defeats the purpose.
- not enough custom faces. I am sure this will get fixed soon but I am already wanting more flexibility!
- it initially burned my iPhone battery big time. But the last update (8.3) seemed to fix this. I am back to normal.

This device is going to open another round of innovation. I can't wait to see what the developers make happen!

I to have had a the screen time out before the app loaded, a few times actually. Still, everything else you said I will also agree with. Been 'wasting' less time playing iOS games as well since I rarely take my phone out anymore like I used to at random to check notifications.

Yeah I noticed that about my games... a pleasant side effect.

Avoiding the constant phone checks has been big for me also. I used to check my phone for notifications, time, missed called and text and then waste time on random stuff. Now all that is handled by the watch and there is no random time waster. So I find I rarely check the phone unless I actually need to DO something specific. Big win. It was so bad for me before it was like a nervous reflex. Check phone. Check phone. Check phone. :)
