Last month we shared news of StackSocial's Epic Mac Bundle, which discounts eight useful Mac apps to a low price of $29.99 (valued at $478.71). This week, StackSocial gave us a heads up that this bundle will be ending for good on April 10 and ahead of that expiration date our readers have a chance to save even more on the bundle with an exclusive coupon code.

This deal is so worth it just for Fantastical 2 and PDF Expert. I bought both apps in the past though :(

Anyone know if Toast 17 is 64-bit? Toast is the last app on my computer that hasn’t been future-proofed yet. I’m not giving them any money until it is.

It is 64-bit, however it states length of access is 1 year. I wonder if this means we need to buy again to continue to use 1 year later?

For some reason some email domains have been blacklisted, in this case “protonmail” very weird. I tried another email domain and it worked with CC.

Works for me, possible missing a digit or the name is incorrectly entered. Copy and paste from your invoice. I found UltData Recovery redirected to a “page 404”. I am sure it will be fixed.

I am tempted to get the bundle with toast except for the “1 year of access clause” My guess is it means how long you have access to be able to download the app from there site but the app itself is good forever. I have noticed some shadier companies do this. If you go to Roxio’s web site and click buy they try to sell you 2 year download insurance for $5 It also doesn’t help that this app will be outdated in less then 6 months with there yearly releases. Still I wish I knew for sure about the 1 year thing as I would bite.

Thanks for reminding me of WinZip. The nostalgia.
After 2007 that I got a Mac, WinZip is a name I haven't heard ever since

Sadly, I only want 1 app from each bundle, so I have to decide which one I want the most. I’m thinking I’ll get more use out of PDF expert than Toast. I already have it in my iPad, but I would love to have this on my MP too.

This “deal” is all over the web, nothing really special here.

Good marketing by StackSocial. Affiliate websites get a $5 kickback for each sale.

Does buying Fantastical 2 as part of this bundle (or buying directly from Flexibits site) as opposed to from the Mac Appstore make any difference in terms of future upgrades?

I'm pretty sure it's not possible to do discounted upgrades on the Apple store, whereas it is standard practice on most web sites.

One way developers can offer discounted upgrades is by offering a bundle of both the old and new versions, so customers who have bought the old version indirectly get a discount.
Does buying these apps from this website provides the same features as buying from the Apple Appstore - specifically, iCloud sync?
