Okay, we are past the 48 hours for the first place winner to start a new thread, and @Mister Do It hasn't come back to this thread.
Two second place winners were announced, @Snowlover and @Shawn MacApple so can @goldmac2006 choose between those two people for a true second place?

Actually, it isn't. I tried to do it and the link I put in didn't work, as usual fo me. So I deleted it.
Still needs to be updated.
A very interesting topic, @goldmac2006, and generous and thoughtful judging; thank you for it.
Personally, I was very taken with the shot submitted by @mollyc - loved the colours, composition, content, and strong lines - as well as @C0ncreteBl0nde's impressive interpretation of a piece of jewellery, and also very much liked the image entered by @_timo_redux_ - terrific subject, composition and palette of colours, and that of @kendallm - again, subject, composition, colour palette and compelling lines all appealed to me.
