Congratulations to everyone, well deserved.

That grass is sea oats - the long stem grass you see in the dunes along a seashore. It is a protected specie that one cannot pick as they are the component of the dunes that controls erosion. Sadly didn't have a special effect with the wings, but would have need cool. I looked at a 100% resolution and the wings are stopped and well defined, however, they appear more translucent against the sky.

You don't need the best picture to win, just the one whoever's judging happens to like the most!

That makes sense! The pattern on the back is very hornet-like, but that's definitely not a hornet! I guess it helps them not be eaten.
