Awesome. Thank you very much @C0ncreteBl0ndeI am happy to take over the theme/judging for @arkitect and will have a new contest up by the end of the day here in the Pacific Northwest; USA.
Correct. This is Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine in Osaka, and there are three bridges leading over this pool of water. The one in the photo is the bridge leading to the main entrance.@Janichsan - Japanese style bridges ( along with Japanese landscaping ) have always fascinated me . This one seems to be easily walkable unlike others I've seen . The red on the railings is nicely reflected off the water below . Taken while standing on another bridge ?
I think you're in the wrong thread. This is a contest thread that just finished, so no new photos! Maybe you meant to post to the POTD thread or an iPhone share thread?Went to Vegas and we saw the wizard of oz at the sphere. This is a picture of the screen, no edits iPhone 17 maxView attachment 2576459
day late and a dollar short yet againI think you're in the wrong thread. This is a contest thread that just finished, so no new photos! Maybe you meant to post to the POTD thread or an iPhone share thread?
No those are from the forms used to contain the concrete pour(s). The Lundbreck Bridge was built in 1953 and was part of the Crowsnest Highway in southern Alberta. That short loop in the highway was bypassed ~1973 when the highway was 'modernized'. A similar straightening took place near the BC border with the highway now going between Emerald and Crowsnest Lakes where it previously ran around Emerald Lake.@OldMacs4Me - I spent a bit of time looking at the structure of the front bridge ; it almost looks like the arch is some sort of lamination , but its probably not . Interesting comparison between the modern looking structure in the front and the old school truss bridge in the rear .
Absolutely. Sure are.Awesome. Thank you very much @C0ncreteBl0nde
We're in good hands. 🙂
