One of my e-mail addresses is suddenly (the last few days) unable to receive e-mail. When I send to it, I get this bounce message:

Original-Recipient: RFC822;<XXXXXX@charter.net>
Final-Recipient: RFC822; <XXXXXX@charter.net>
Action: failed
Status: 5.3.0
Remote-MTA: dns; f.mx.mail.yahoo.com (209.191.88.247)
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 554 delivery error: dd This user doesn't have a yahoo.com account (XXXXXX@yahoo.com) [0] - mta287.mail.mud.yahoo.com
X-Actual-Recipient: RFC822; <XXXXXX@yahoo.com>

The charter.net address is the one I'm sending to. The yahoo address is a mystery - never heard of it. If I were on a PC, this would look like a virus. (BTW, it's a MBP running 10.5.2)

My ISP (Charter) seems to be clueless. They tell me my IP is blocked, and I can't send or receive - however, I can SEND just fine. They told me to reset my password, which I did - no luck. They keep referring me to someone else, where I either get cut off mid-conversation or just get the same automatic advice.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

problem resolved

I finally found someone at Charter who knew what was going on. Someone had hacked into the account through webmail. It's fixed now.

Thanks!
