Weird after-boot behaviour on eMac G4

It’s running Panther OK but the CD tray opens at every boot (supposed to happen only if you keep the mouse button pressed during the boot), and Classic launches as soon as the account is logged in.
Classic is not selected to run automatically in its Preference panel.
Nothing in the startup items, nothing OS9 in the account panel (only iTunesHelper actually).

Not so big troubles, only puzzling…😕
