My iPT6G updated to the latest iOS a couple of days ago, and now the charging behavior is rather strange. It used to be that when I'd plug in the cord, it would wake up and the screen would show battery charging. Now I plug it in, and it stays black - when I press to wake it up, it DOES NOT show battery charging, nor does it show "Battery charged 100%" the way it used to - all I can use to judge if it's fully charged is the little icon that shows the battery as showing full graphically. That's it. Not like it used to be a green color and text 100%, now it's just the same old black and white and you have to judge by eye. Plus it seems like the battery drains ultra fast - I can't get it to hold a full charge for more than a couple of hours of barely using.

I restarted the iPod hoping that would fix the issue, but it made no difference. So now it's been a couple of days and the behaviour continues. Is this normal? Does this behave the same way on your iPT6G after the latest iOS update? TIA!

OK - issue resolved. Apparently it was a bad lightning cable. Astonishing, in that it was the ORIGINAL Apple cable that came with the iPod and I never mistreated the cable, it was simply plugged in permanently and I'd just attach my iPod whenever I wanted to charge it, so no twisting or stretching, ever. Really lame - QC is the pits these days.
