Hi!
I have an early 2011 15-inch MBP. Everything is working fine, but lately the bottom of the case is making cranking noises when pushed, like a rusty door axis. I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that all the time. Did anyone had this problem? Maybe its just some loose screws, maybe something is broken?

Thanks.

It's pretty easy to open and look for something obvious if you have a small enough screwdriver. There are some small tabs on the bottom case that help it align with the internals, maybe those are making the sound.

Hmm, OK thanks. Ill try that.

I had the same noises on my 13" MBP and the geniuses ended up cracking it open and found what they said was some dirt under the bottom case that was causing the sound. Anyway they cleaned it and now I haven't had a problem since. I would remove the bottom case and give it a good cleaning that should solve the problem.
