So I'm sitting listening to music (full battery) when I get a text message. As I am replying the phone just cuts out - goes to the 'loading' screen (little circle made up of lines thing) then dies! When I try to turn it back on it gives me the whole "I have no charge, plug me in" symbol! Its ok now after I charged it - but wtf?? think I should take it back?

Thanks

I think it's a bug where the battery meter doesn't reflect the remaining charge. I had this happen a couple of days ago; happily listening to a Shoutcast stream with full charge, then a few hours later the iPhone turns off, get the same message as you when powered back on, etc.

Same thing happened to me. I had the screen that suggests I plug-in. I waited 5 minutes and it started right up. Immediately displayed the 10% remaining charge. I used for 20 more minutes before it died officially?!

The recharge took A LONG TIME!
