Weird display issue on 2017 5K iMac

Does anyone else have this weird issue with their display on their 2017 5K iMac? It looks like it is burned somehow. I tried cleaning it and nothing happened.



Is this something I should worry about?

These have a backlight. If it’s under AppleCare or really bothers you, have it checked out.

have had to replace iMac screens a few times because of this issue, twice on my 2010 machine and twice on my late 2012 machine. It's a know issue and is down to the design of the iMac, take it back to the Apple store asap and insist on a screen replacement. I won't buy a new iMac until they change the design as I know this is going to happen again.
(By the way the the last time my screen was replaced it was out of warranty 5 years old and after arguing with them they agreed to replace the screen)
