Figured I'd try on this forum, Avid's forums are a nightmare.
I am getting an error I’ve never gotten before when trying to save scores in Sibelius. When I go to save a file, it says “Unable to open score file [path] to save” ([path] being replaced by the file path). Now what’s even weirder is that:
…leading me to think that somehow the folder with all my scores is corrupted. I did transfer the folder in from a computer backup but I see no reason why that should matter.
I’ve looked this up elsewhere and all the answers are “make sure the permissions are set correctly.” I even double-checked that by hitting Cmd + I and changing everything to read and write, and this is still happening.
Any help greatly appreciated!

- This happens even when I copy the file to another location on the computer
- When I try to delete the file, it prompts for an administrator password, which it shouldn’t.
- When I create a NEW score file, this doesn’t happen…
