Weird file name in iMac HDD Folder ~?

    After updated to Yosemite Beta 2 and noticed a file in the main screen under iMac HDD that has the file name of ~ why is it there and why did it all of the sudden show up after updating to beta 2 of Yosemite?:confused:

    The tilde "~" before a file name can indicate a temporary file, or one being currently edited. Usually they are considered system files and not visible unless you've configured your system to show them.

    I had it also, at first I thought I fat fingered an edit, but since its more widely reported I guess its some cruft in the distribution.

    Mine was a zero length file so I deleted it.
