I noticed after booting my Alu. macbook, that the trash can had contents. It had been empty before I shut down last. I then opened it to check, and there were a bunch of Microsoft Office X files and icons in the trash. I don't even have Office X installed. I have Office 2008 installed however. Anyone have any ideas how those files ended up there?

Were they in a "recovered files" folder in the trash? If so I don't think you need to worry about it, they'll just be junk files that you can delete.

I don't recall them being in a recovered folder. I'm pretty sure they were just all in the trash can.

When I restart (which happens about once every 3 weeks) I usually have some mystery files in "Recovered Files" folder in the trash. Doesn't bother me much, but I think its not right :\
