Weird hole/vent on intel imac

Out of curiosity does anyboy know what the small circular rectangle hole is underneath the power slot on the back of the iMac Core Duo?. I thought it might be a speaker bass outlet or something It might be on the G5 too, I dnt no.😕

It's the slot for Kensington theft deterrent cables.

Not like it needs one. I have a 20" iMac G5 and it looks small, but it weighs a ton.
You can't easily waltz out with one tucked under your arm.
