so finally made the jump to color bulbs now that the gen 3 ones are out. However I can't get them to all turn the same color. For example I told Siri to turn my bedroom Lamps blue and it made one blue and one purple. Thinking the bulb was defected I exchanged it and still, same problem.

I can manually get the colors to match using the color wheel though.

Any ideas?

I know this is obvious but.. are they for sure both 3rd gen? Like white housing and gold lettering?

I haven't had that problem using Siri

Thanks, yea I thought of that myself; that I accidentally bought an older bulbs but they are gen 3 for sure. It's rather frustrating that I can't get any two bulbs to match each other.

So what are you using the colored bulbs for? I am debating if I need them or not and trying to find out how other people are using the colored bulbs.

I ended up returning them all but I was planning on using them all over the house. I could never get them to match each other and nobody including Phillips could help. They even went so far as to blame my eyesight. Oh well

Just a thought here, are you sure you were setting a colour rather than a scene? For example if you set the Arctic Aurora scene it will set the lights to two different shades of blue. If you were telling it to set to "Blue" which was a scene you'd created based on a blue image you may get a similar effect.

Weird. I have a bunch of Hue gen 1 RGB bulbs and no trouble with Siri setting different colors. They match pretty well (at least within limits of tolerance of the 1st gen bulbs).

This is a good thought.

Yea I'm certain. No matter what we did we could not get any two bulbs to match themselves in color unless I did it manually. It was frustrating and I was driving my wife nuts talking(see: screaming) at Siri all day so we just gave up.
