I have a 2011 Macbook air. Recently I started noticing that some images will glitch and distort like this attached file. This can happen randomly on a webpage image or even opening a PDF in preview.

Any idea what the problem might be? I recently had service work done to replace the screen in November and it is not under any other warranty.

It seems like a memory problem. It doesn't look like a single page that's not rendering properly. Do you have a lot (like 20 or more) open Safari windows or tabs? When's the last time you full restarted your Mac (not just Sleep)? How much RAM do you have?

I have 4GB RAM. I do have about 8 tabs open but nothing out of the ordinary. Activity monitor says I'm using 3.64GB/4GB of the RAM.
