I'm visiting at my folks place. They have an wireless network and Time Warner cable internet. The connection is fast on both of their Macs. It's fast on my iPhone. But on my MacBook, it is very slow. Long delays for page loading, etc. I've tried three browsers (Safari, Opera, Firefox) but the problem remains. I've tried using Google DNS. I've checked the network settings and they're the same (DHCP) on my MB and my parents' computers. Any ideas?

This should speed up the internet:
1. Download OnyX (a free maintenance utility).

10.6 Snow Leopard Link:

10.5 Leopard Link:

10.4 Tiger Link:
http://www.titanium.free.fr/dl/104/OnyX.dmg

2. Open OnyX and Click Cancel on these two Alert Panels:
-Cancel the S.M.A.R.T. Box
-Cancel the Startup Volume Box

3. Enter your Password

4. Click on the Cleaning Tab

5. In each tab, within the Cleaning Tab, execute the command. Check all the boxes in each tab. When its finished in that tab, it will ask you to reboot. Say NO. Go on to the next tab and repeat until all tabs, within the Cleaning Tab, are done. THEN REBOOT.

Thanks. This computer is literally brand new and I ran Cocktail after updating the OS to 10.6.3. Shouldn't be an issue.
