have you tried quitting iTunes and shutting down the computer? how about repairing disk permissions?

if nothing works, download the standalone iTunes installer and start from the beginning.

I'd also try Resolving Duplicates from the Edit menu of Font Book. Is this problem exclusive to iTunes? 🙂
