This just started happening in the past day or 2. When I wake my computer from sleep after it has been sleeping for longer than 30 minutes the keyboard and trackpad will not respond. The power button still works. To get it to work I plug in a USB mouse and restart and then it works perfect.

I'm not sure if this is a symptom of Snow Leopard or not, but it's really annoying.

Any ideas?

This happened to me on my 15" Penryn MBP while I was halfway working on my mac. Keyboard and trackpad stopped working suddenly. Had to use wireless mighty mouse to shutdown. I'm on 10.6.1 and it only started happening after I upgraded to 10.6.1.
