Weird Noise in iMovie

When I use the toggle switch to record via the iSight in iMovie- my macbook makes a loud buzz sound for like 1 second. And it only does it the first time I toggle it- if I toggle the switch again it doesn't do it.


Anyone else experience this?
 
Mine sounds like a loud popping noise, and if my external speakers are plugged in it is really loud. I think it is "normal" and it is not that big of a deal.
