That one concept may have affected you deeply at some point when you were younger, and stayed with you.

I was thinking the same, for the mustard phobia.

Could it be that someone, a sibling maybe, dumped some on his head, before his current memory, and caused him grief. Perhaps got it in his eyes? That would hurt.

Thankfully, I'm not afraid of salt. Because then I couldn't take a grain of it when hearing about some phobias.

Some phobias I understand. Some just make absolutely no sense, and I sometimes wonder how much of it might be "acted".

that does sound weird. being scared of mustard? i get it if you can't stand it or have a very strong aversion to it. my gf for example has a very very strong aversion to vinegar and as such anything that has vinegar in it, like mustard or ketchup. the latter can even make her throw up if the smell is too strong. but scared? that is odd.

I can't believe you would make fun of your friend for his phobia. Maybe he was assaulted by some mustard when he was a child? DID YOU EVER THINK OF THAT?

Is he also afraid of someone posting on internet forums about his phobias?

yea..... I don't really care

You don't know me from jonny 6 pack down the road, much less one of my friends:rolleyes:

lol

Did Colonel Mustard kill his Mum in the library with the candlestick perhaps?

Haha I bet so.

The other guys at my table were like dang, "I'm gonna be planting little mustard packets all over for ya" lol

A friend of mine back in college used to be scared of kiwi fruit! Which is probably as equally mad as being scared of mustard.
