Weird PM G5 boot issue

This problem is kinda recent (within the last month or two). I have my G5 to automatically log in, with no password, and it opens the programs I need. Sometimes, when I restart or turn on my G5, it loads to the user selection screen instead of logging in and the internal speaker will start making noise, like a fast chirping. The only way to get rid of it is a hard shutdown.

Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? I haven't been able to find anything about it.

I have the same problem, I solved it reinstalling osx. This might not be the easiest solution but still better than no replies.

Try the usuals: PRAM reset, repair disk permissions.

I did a reinstall a week ago as well as repaired permissions but it is still happening. Very strange
