It's completely normal. It's just the application for the print queue. You can't stop it opening, but you can have it close automatically after printing. I'm on my iPhone at the moment, so I can't tell you exactly, but while that's open, right click on it's dock icon, and select auto-quit or auto-close. Something like that!
