Weird problem... a virus?

Im using an ibook g4. This started happening last friday. Every once in a while the brightness is adjusted, sometimes all the way down, and then the CD drive tries to eject and the F11 key is hit as well, causing any open tabs to disappear then reappear. (VERY annoying) also the a, q, and 1 keys are being hit sometimes as well.

????? help?

It's not a virus.

Repair permissions in Disk Utility, then verify the disk.

Check your logs for anything unusual.

Sounds like someone spilled something on the keyboard at some point. It's not a virus.

Wouldn't that happen if something was spilt on the keyboard...
Would that not cause the keys to activate whenever...

How in the world could a file permission have anything to do with this?

The problem is at the electrical level. Hope that something is loose and a simple disassembly and re-seating will fix it.

About the spilt gunk idea. Well,... if the stuff is electrically conductive, maybe.
