Hi there

Since I have installed Snow Leopard I have been experiencing a minor but annoying issue with Logic 8.
Certain files, particularly some (but not all) EXS 24 patches and space designer impulse files, take a long time to load, with lots of HD activity.
For example, I just inserted an instance of space designer on a bus, and then it took 2 minutes or so to load my choice of impulse. An EXS 24 patch has taken as much as 5 minutes before now. It always gets there in the end, though.
Before Snow Leopard, these things were instant.
I'm running a 2009 Nehalem Quad Mac Pro.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

If you haven't, clean install snow leopard opposed to upgrade. For serious audio work, you should have. It sorts out lots of little niggles...

Make the upgrade to logic 9 too! it's way worth it

Thanks, but it was a clean install.
Trouble is that Logic 9 came out of the blue WEEKS after I got Logic 8. Probably will upgrade in the new year.
