Weird Problem with music playing

whenever I am playing music from the iPhone and I open up Safari, the music just stops entirely. I can't even start off from where it stops.

has this happened to anyone before?

What phone and OS version are you using?

I've had this problem with my 3G several times, but with iOS4 the sound comes back or starts skipping. Previous OS the sound simply stopped.

iPhone 4 and iOS4.

It's sound-related. I can play music from Windows Media Player with no problem and same thing with Ares.
