Hello everyone,

I'm having this weird problem with my macbook unibody (10.7.3) and I don't know what's causing it. Simply when I start it all the files are missing (my desktop is empty), the only thing I can do is open the apps that are on the dock and they work well but if I open Finder the beach ball appears and start spinning. And when I try to shut down it just freezes and I have to press the power button until the power goes off.

Can anyone help me with this? Sorry if my english is difficult to understand.

In the activity monitor, "Finder" shows up in red and says (don't respond), anyone has a clue?

I'm getting desperate because I really need my macbook for university :(

For some reason "Finder", which is not only the File Manager it is what is used to display desktop items, is crashing. You need to take this to Apple and have it fixed.
