Suddenly I am having some weird problems with Thunderbird on my MAC Pro. I am not getting a list of messages in my email, I am getting some unexpected filing under classifications of subjects that I did not enter in the TB program. I now have to double click on a subject line to open the message in a new window. I recently got a wave movie, which sucked in a large way, from a guy on my email list. Is there an anti-virus or some other dependable and safe way to go through the registry to sort out possible attacks or problems, whichever?

I use this computer for photography and there is no effect on my programs. Just my email. I haven't had to get into the guts of this yet and now I need some guidance from someone here that can steer me straight. Thanks
