Seems like the 840 pro samsung does overclock macs. After switching to the 850 pro my mac hasn't turned off like it was with the 840 pro ssd.

point is, get the 850 pro ssd.

I have 840 SSD and seems it does randomly restart.
I would love to get more details on what you mean.
Are you implying that switching to 850 SSD solves the restart issue?

What exactly does this have to do with the GPU failures Apple initiated a recall on? It just sounds like you had a faulty SSD.

I really don't know. I called apples bs on that to. Maybe my 840 pro was faulty.
