Weird Screen Brightness Problem

I upgraded to Leopard using a C2D MBP with no problems.

However, I now seem to be having trouble with my display.

Quite frequently (several times per minute) the display seems to dim a bit then lighten then dim then lighten again. I can't figure out what the trigger is.

This never happened before I upgraded so I am (hoping) it is a Leopard issue.

Has anyone experienced this problem at all?

I'm having the same problem with my ibook running Tiger. It seems to have something to do with the charger. My charger broke, and Apple replaced it, and ever since then, the screen dims on battery, and brightens when plugged in. Except that even when it's plugged in, it sometimes switches between green and orange on the power cord LCD, and simultaneously dims and brightens. The battery indicator on the menu bar also goes back and forth from the wavy line to the battery strength image, and (since I have it set to "time"), switches from the time left to "calculating". Does anyone have any advice?

MadDoc,
Check in system preferences>display if the box "automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes" is checked
