Hello, I've been having some trouble with my macbook lately. Sometimes, when I close the laptop to make it go to sleep it has a very strange problem with the screen.

The little white light on the bottom right corner of the screen doesn't start flashing on and off like it should, it just glows constantly while the macbook is shut. If I open up my macbook, the screen turns on instantly, but its frozen and the screen won't ever change. I have to close my macbook and leave it for 5-10 minutes and then the little light will start flashing and when I open it back up the screen is fine. This started happening 1-2 months ago. It used to only happen about twice a week, but now it happens every time I close my macbook.

One more thing, although the screen is frozen, the macbook still functions properly while its frozen. I was clicking and moving around the mouse and pressing buttons on the keyboard while the screen was frozen, and when I got it to unfreeze (using the method above) a program that I had been working on in xcode had been changed and had a bunch of gibberish written in it. So obviously the computer was responding to my keyboard presses, the screen just wouldn't change. Anyone know what's wrong?

Problem

Thanks, but that problem appears to be affecting macbook pros. I only have a regular macbook.
