Weird speaker issue with iPhone 7 plus

Potentially something similar to what's discussed at https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/top-speaker-not-as-loud-as-bottom-speaker-on-iphone7.2004812/ and other similar linked threads?
 
In this case....it is shifting how much each speaker is on. Like the bottom one turn so off all together when the phone is shifted. Is there a setting for that?
 
No idea about the bad sound, but on the iPad pro's, when you turn the iPad from portrait to landscape, the speakers change how they project sound. So that may a new feature in the 7+.

My other 7 plus does not do it.
