Weird square on the desktop

I am a bit lost about this random square appearing on the desktop. I am on Catalina. Does anybody have any idea?

Looks like a tile of another wallpaper? Report it as a bug, Catalina seems to have its fair share...

have you rebooted? or at least, logged out/back in? also, try changing the wallpaper, perhaps to something static...

Yeah I’ve got no clue how that tile came about. It wasn’t there before.

Yeah I’ve restarted but didn’t change anything.

Update - just figured out that the weird square only appears when I use either the Catalina Dark wallpaper or the Catalina Dynamic wallpaper. It does not appear with any other wallpaper. This is truly weird.
